LeVentNoir is an elemental wizard. Arriving from distant lands he proclaimed his rule over Imperial Wellington and moved to reside in the abandoned castle on a crag over looking the town.

LeVentNoir is a tall thin human. He has dark stormy grey hair and a wild and long beard. He is often seen wearing dark red or black robes. He carries a simple wooden staff, mainly for its purposes as a walking stick rather than a magical aid. Born in a far off unknown land over two hundred and thirty years ago, he has had training in all the elemental magics.

[edit] Early Years

LeVentNoir was first recorded at age ten, at Lightsbridge University under the name Devance. For 5 years, he studied general magic, before, at age fifteen, he was chosen to study under the masters WindWalker, RockBrow, RiverOtter and ForgeSteel. Under them he learnt the masteries of all four elements and how to combine them. An eager student, he progressed quickly, achieving journeyman status before age thirty five. It only took him another 25 years to progress to master. Upon attaining that rank Devance chose the name LeVentNoir, in reference to a spell which call up a flaming, rock filled, torrential typhoon. A purely destructive spell, it was titled "the black wind" or in the old tongue, "LeVentNoir".

[edit] Mastery and Outcasting

By this time he was a respected scholar, known widely in the country around LightsBridge. When he was 65 LeVentNoir took a ten year leave of absence, in order to travel the world and learn more. On his return, he was a changed man. LeVentNoir seemed determined to discover all he could, accumulate all the various tomes and items he could. He said he was close to unlocking "The Spindle". Spending ever longer hours researching this the other academia decided he was obsessed. They could find no mention of this bar one line in The Codex of Black Necromancy, a most foul book kept locked in the cellars. The line read "And as such, the spindle is essential, for without it all could be lost. But be wary, for the spindle will work with you or against you, and our work revolves counter clockwise." Upon reading this, LeVentNoir was apprehended and banished. Cast out of his home and sudy with naught but the clothes on this back, staff in hand and knowledge in head.

[edit] Wandering

After his banishment, LeVentNoir wandered the world for years. Few records exist but scraps are known. He was in the Kingdom of the Blessed Giant roughly 20 years after his banishment, where in return for defending the city against a barbarian horde, he walked out with the three most powerful magical items in the kingdom.

[edit] Imperial Wellington

Finally roughly 155 years after being exiled, LeVentNoir came to a rural deserted area, with only a simple village. Arriving there he proclaimed he rule and moved into the over looking castle, once owned by a foul necromancer. He resides there still, clearing out the abominations that exist there and continuing his research.

While attending The_Rialla LeVentNoir meet Ruathoz who gave LeVentNoir a new staff in payment for being able to live in the castle and learn along side LeVentNoir.

[edit] The Dark Elves

LeVentNoir grew weary of the pathetic nature of the men under his rule, they simply accepted their place in the world. LeVentNoir took Ruathoz north to meet the elves, living with them for a time, yet growing tired of them as well. Moving further north again, he reached the city of the dark elves, the ones who had been thrown out of normal elven culture. he usurped the queen and the dark elves recognised him as the new ruler, fir they saw only the strong fir to ruler and LeVentNoir had proven he was stronger. Taking control of the Empire of the Frozen Spear, LeVentNoir now looks to higher goals.

LeVentNoir is an elemental wizard and so knows a wide range of spells of all the elements and has the ability to create items with powerful and unique abilities.

Here is a collection of some of the spells that LeVentNoir uses frequently.

[edit] Earth

Fracture : A large chuck of earth under the target lifts and tilts throwing them off balance.
Unmeteor : A rock come screaming out of the earth and is launched several miles in the air. Of course any one standing on it going to be severely smashed
Breath of Earth : The wizards breath solidifies into rock as soon as it reaches its target. Perfect for distracting or immobilizing a captor.

Fireball : A simple ball fire fire, thrown into the enemy.
Tongue of Flame : A small flame emits from the casters index finger. Useful as a torch or to light mundane fires.
Dire Ceremony of Flame : The spell for summoning a fire elemental.
The Witcheries of Demonic Flame : Streams and ropes of flame spring from the casters fingers, moving and writhing to ensnare enemies with a life of its own.

Deluge : A huge single blast of water fall from the skies, slamming the target with several tons of water.
Void Rain : The sky cloud over and drop of void begin to fall. Where they hit, armour and flesh are burnt away.
Black Idols of Ice : Several large ice golems are created.

[edit] Wind

Undead's Hands of Wind : Lost souls borne on the wind cast a pall gloom over the spirits of the targets, sapping their will and skill.
Pressure wall : The air in front of the wizard turn rock hard and expands out wards, slamming and injuring all in its path.
Shackles of Air : The air around the target become almost solid, preventing movement.
Whispers of Wind : The wizard listens to the wind, and the wind tells him pieces of information it has heard.
Wind Riding : The wind lifts and transports the wizard through the sky.

The Black Wind : A gale bringing fire, hail and rocks, batters and burns the enemy. This is a very destructive spell
Trap of Savage Lava : A crevasse opens and molten lava spurts out, incinerating the target.
Ice Wind : Razor sharp ice spikes are borne towards the target on a howling gale.
Lightning : Can be conjured in several forms ranging from small sparks to mighty thunder bolts.
Mudslide : A wall of mud rises and sweeps the target away.
Pyroclastic blast : Molten, burning rock is thrown towards the enemy with the force of a tornado.

LeVentNoir maintains a collection of magical items, ranging from small amulets up to powerful weapons.
LeVentNoir's main item is his staff. It was donated to him by Ruathoz in return for training. It is about 5 1/2 feet tall and black with a large red crystal on the top. It stores energy for LeVentNoir, making spell cast through it more powerful. It is also used as a quarter staff when needed.

This is a list of some of the other items LeVentNoir has made or found recently.

Instant Pipes of Damned Earth : When played these pipes summon earth golems to the player.
Club of Flame Breaths : A club wreathed in flames, this weapon breaks bones and burns skin.
Wind Shield of Infamy : This a small shield, yet it protects an area the size of a tower shield by turning the air around it so dense that the attacks cannot pass through it, preventing a single blow from being landed.
The Fighting Blades of K'shiel : A gauntlet with two fifteen inch long blades attached to the back of it, protruding forward, just above the fingers. Made from magical metal a wizard can heat these blades white hot with without the metal weakening. At their hottest they can cut through plate steel with little effort

LeVentNoir believes in the pursuit and attainment of knowledge. There is nothing which should not be known. For knowledge is power and does not require mass slaughter.

As a practicing magician, LeVentNoir maintains a arcane store where he sells items, spells and trains adepts for a price. LeVentNoir accepts mundane payment such as gold, but magical items and tomes are preferred.
